William B. Travis letter to the people of Texas and and all Americans in the world. Travis sent out this letter to call men for help to fight and defend the Alamo. He was a fighter in the Siege of the Alamo.

They wanted to establish an independent government. They met at Washington on the Brazos. 

The Treaties of Velasco- Part 2)March 14,1836

Texas would be recognized as independent and the Rio Grande river would be the border.

Fannin's surrendered at Goliad) March 20, 1836

Fannin surrendered his 300 men at the battle of Coleto because the was pinned on open prairie.

Battle of San Jacinto)April 21, 1836

Santa Anna was captured the next day and surrendered to Sam Houston.
