Founding of San Antonio .The Spanish built a fort town Presido san Antonio de Rexar on one side on the San Antonio River. Across the river Father Olivares , founded mission San Antonio de Valero.(the Alamo)

East Texas missions are moved to San Antonio.55 immigrants (15 families ) arrived at San Antonio de Bexar from the canary islands.Spanish Goverment gave them supplies.

Mission San Jose is completed in San Antonio and other missions are built ,as San Jose became known it was the largest mission in the area.contained 350 Indian neophytes ,also intensive fields and herds of livestock.

Father Hidalgo’s speech encourages Mexicans, Texans, and others to fight for independence.Father Hidalgo was a Mexican roman catholic priest and revolutionary rebel leader, of Mesizos & Native Americans.He is regarded as the Father of the country.Was executed and had his head on display by the Spanish until 1821.
