This era began about 63 million years ago, and is still going on today!  

This tour will bring you all the way from the beginning of most mammals to now, and will also go off into the future!

Mammals Fill In Dinosaur's Shoes

A couple million years after the dinosaurs went extinct, mammals came into full view.  Mammals are warm-blooded creatures like the wooly mammoth, chimpanzees, the wooly rhino, and so much more.  The climate during this time started to stabilize, and that gave more mammals a better chance at living.
