In 1684 La Salle came to America to find the mouth the of the Mississippi.
1685 La Salle establishes found Fort St. Louis to fight agaist the natives.
In 1492 Catholicism became widespread in many places around the world such as Spain. Eventually when the Spanish came to America they wanted to teach the natives about god and the pope.
Missions in Texas became widespread to spread Catholicism to the natives in Texas and other parts of Texas. One of the three G's is god.
In 1718 presidios were built in places that were in Spanish control to help keep the land in control form the natives and other countries.
In 1718 Spanish explorers came up to a river called Rio San Antonio and wanted to build a mission and a presidio to protect the resources there and the city was born then.
In 1719 the King of Spain transported 400 canary islanders to move to Texas.
